Also described and figured as a new species in Steindachner 1881:187 [9 of separate] [ref. 4231]; 1881 description is based on a different specimen. •Synonym of Pseudoblennius cottoides (Richardson 1848) -- (Watanabe 1960:152 [ref. 11959], Lindberg & Krasyukova 1987:252 [ref. 15964], Kim & Youn 1992:74 [ref. 22287]). Current status: Synonym of Pseudoblennius cottoides (Richardson 1848). Psychrolutidae: Psychrolutinae. Habitat: marine.
