Type catalog: Vasil'eva et al. 2001:62 [ref. 25714]. •Valid as Pseudocetonurus septifer Sazonov & Shcherbachev 1982 -- (Pequeño 1997:82 [ref. 23536], Chiou et al. 2004:46 [ref. 27691], Mundy 2005:255 [ref. 28379], Iwamoto et al. 2015:97 [ref. 35408] as cf. septifer, Nakayama 2020:270 [ref. 37888] as sp. cf. septifer). Current status: Valid as Pseudocetonurus septifer Sazonov & Shcherbachev 1982. Macrouridae. Distribution: Taiwan as cf. septifer. Hawaiian Islands and Saly-Gomez and Nazca ridges, southeastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
