Paratypes: CAS 66901 (1), ROM 65741 (1, c&s). •Valid as Pseudochromis omanensis Gill & Mee 1993 -- (Gill & Randall 1994:16 [ref. 21600], Randall 1995:142 [ref. 22896], Manilo & Bogorodsky 2003:S105 [ref. 27377], Gill 2004:154 [ref. 27767], Zajonz et al. 2019:72 [ref. 36871] as cf. omanensis, Gill 2022:142 [ref. 39748]). Current status: Valid as Pseudochromis omanensis Gill & Mee 1993. Pseudochromidae: Pseudochrominae. Distribution: Northwestern Indian Ocean: central and southern Oman endemic. Habitat: marine.
