Combined with a masculine genus, the adjective should be maculatus. •Valid as Pseudogastromyzon maculatus Chen & Zheng 1980 -- (Zheng 1981:56 [ref. 22557] as maculatum, Li 1998:262 [ref. 25773]). •Synonym of Pseudogastromyzon myersi Herre 1932 -- (Zheng et al. 1989:254 [ref. 21202], Chen & Tang in Yue 2000:489 [ref. 25272] as myseri, Kottelat 2012:69 [ref. 32367], Zhang et al. 2016:162 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Synonym of Pseudogastromyzon myersi Herre 1932. Gastromyzontidae. Habitat: freshwater.

Current status: Valid as Pseudogastromyzon myersi Herre 1932. Gastromyzontidae. Distribution: Dongjiang, Rongjiang rivers, China. Habitat: freshwater.
