Current status: Valid as Rasbora bunguranensis Brittan 1951. Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Pulau Natuna Besar, Natuna Archipelago. Habitat: freshwater. elegans, Rasbora Volz [W.] 1903:558 [Zoologischer Anzeiger v. 26 (no. 703); ref. 4531] Semangka River, tributary of the Musi River, Pelambang, Sumatra, Indonesia.
