Holotype: CMK [MZB 5881]. Paratypes: MZB uncat. (10); CMK 6717 (24), 6770 (38), 6959 (6), 7023 (1), 7432 (5, c&s). Type catalog: Neumann 2011:256 [ref. 31652]. No types were deposited at ZSM. •Valid as Rasbora kalbarensis Kottelat 1991 -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:46 [ref. 23448], Doi 1997:12 [ref. 22832], Kottelat & Widjanarti 2005:155 [ref. 28284], Kottelat 2008:305 [ref. 29390], Hadiaty & Kottelat 2009:109 [ref. 30422], Liao et al. 2010:166 [ref. 30521] and possible not a Rasbora, Kottelat 2013:153 [ref. 32989]).
