Syntypes: BMNH 1912.3.2.1 (1),1913.3.6.9-10 (2). •Synonym of Rasborinus lineatus (Pellegrin 1907), but a valid subspecies (and regarded as introduced) -- (Bănărescu 1971:15 [ref. 20612]). •Synonym of Metzia lineata (Pellegrin 1907) -- (Kottelat 2013:123 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Metzia lineata (Pellegrin 1907). Xenocyprididae. Habitat: freshwater.
