Holotype: USNM 72924. Paratypes: (2) CAS-SU 25250 (2), ?USNM 148990 (1). First author is H. M. Smith. •Synonym of Bathygadus cottoides Günther 1878 -- (Howes & Crimmen 1990:189 [ref. 15692]). •Valid as Bathygadus filamentosus (Smith & Radcliffe 1912) -- (Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:94 [ref. 18936]). •Valid as Gadomus filamentosus (Smith & Radcliffe 1912) -- (Iwamoto 1999:1994 [ref. 24761]). Current status: Valid as Gadomus filamentosus (Smith & Radcliffe 1912). Bathygadidae. Distribution: Western Pacific. Habitat: marine.
