Current status: Valid as Rhinogobius candidianus (Regan 1908). Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Taiwan. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.

Type catalog: Henn 1928:97 [ref. 12305], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:75 [ref. 12367], Ho & Shao 2011:58 [ref. 31432].
