Appeared in more detail in Kner 1859:166, Pl. 7 (fig. 16) [ref. 2631]. •Valid as Rhytiodus argenteofuscus Kner 1858 -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:12 [ref. 9708], Garavello & Britski in Reis et al. 2003:79 [ref. 27061], Barriga Salazar 2014:105 [ref. 35745], Sarmiento et al. 2014:40, 183 [ref. 35004], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:40 [ref. 35633], Silvano et al. 2020:58 [ref. 38133], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:15 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Rhytiodus argenteofuscus Kner 1858. Anostomidae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin (Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.

Current status: Synonym of Rhytiodus argenteofuscus Kner 1858. Anostomidae. Habitat: freshwater.

Species not listed in earlier abstract [ref. 18909]. •Synonym of Rhytiodus argenteofuscus Kner 1858 -- (Garavello & Britski in Reis et al. 2003:79 [ref. 27061]).
