Holotype: BPBM 31936. Paratypes: AMS I.27263-001 (1); BPBM 31892 (1), 31961 (1), 31963 (4); CAS 62451 (4); MNHN 1988-0256 (1); USNM 291692 (4). •Synonym of Chaetodon declivis Randall 1975, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Randall 2005:312 [ref. 28239]). Current status: Synonym of Chaetodon declivis Randall 1975. Chaetodontidae: Chaetodontinae.
