The subspecies should date to Sigler & Sigler in our opinion. From Humboldt County, Nevada, U.S.A. Behnke 1992:126 [ref. 23385] wrongly regarded it a nomen nudum, but states, "... and is an appropriate name for this subspecies. Behnke 2002 gave himself credit for describing this subspecies, but we do not agree with this. •A valid, unnamed subspecies, but probably extinct as a pure form -- (Behnke 1992:126 [ref. 23385]). •Synonym of Oncorhynchus clarkii (Richardson 1836), but a valid subspecies alvordensis Sigler & Sigler 1987 -- (Scharpf 2006:26 [ref. 30386], Page & Burr 2011:409 [ref. 31215], Penaluna et al. 2016:291 [ref. 34726]). •Synonym of Oncorhynchus henshawi (Gill & Jordan 1878). Current status: Synonym of Oncorhynchus henshawi (Gill & Jordan 1878). Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Distribution: Southern Oregon and northern Nevada, U.S.A. [subspecies alvordensis, now extinct].
