Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:15 [ref. 12291]. •Synonym of Salmo gairdnerii Richardson 1836, but a valid subspecies -- (La Rivers 1994:311 [ref. 23389]). •Synonym of Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum 1792), subspecies irideus (Gibbons 1855) -- (Behnke 1992:199 [ref. 23385]). Current status: Synonym of Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum 1792). Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
