Type designated by Swain 1882:279 [ref. 5966]. C. oblonga Swainson is an unneeded substitute for C. bacaila. Bănărescu 1968:3 [ref. 7866] treats Salmophasia as a synonym of Salmostoma; see also Bănărescu 1997:26 [ref. 23274].
