First reviser selection by Jordan & Evermann 1905:349, footnote, where it is indicated that barborus was a misprint for borborus. •Synonym of Chlorurus perspicillatus (Steindachner 1879) -- (Parenti & Randall 2000:53 [ref. 24943], Lobel & Lobel 2004:74 [ref. 27576], Mundy 2005:452 [ref. 28379]). Current status: Synonym of Chlorurus perspicillatus (Steindachner 1879). Labridae. Habitat: marine.
