Paratypes: CAS 214037 (1). •Valid as Scorpaenopsis pusilla Randall & Eschmeyer 2002 -- (Randall 2005:124 [ref. 28239], Motomura & Causse 2011:50 [ref. 31125], Motomura et al. 2011:68 [ref. 31308], Fricke et al. 2013:208 [ref. 32769], Delrieu-Trottin et al. 2015:5 [ref. 33988]). Current status: Valid as Scorpaenopsis pusilla Randall & Eschmeyer 2002. Scorpaenidae: Scorpaeninae. Distribution: South Pacific: Marquesas Islands (French Polynesia) endemic. Habitat: marine.
