P.] 1933:31, Pl. 2 (fig. 3) [University of Washington Publications in Biology v. 2 (no. 2); ref. 2262] Presumably along the coast of Monterey County, south of Point Pinos, California, U.S.A. Holotype: UMMZ 92647. Paratypes: UMMZ 92648 (1). Appeared as Sebastodes littoris with hand corrections in reprints with a separate correction slip mailed out to change name to litoris, but the original spelling probably should stand. •Synonym of Sebastes caurinus Richardson 1844 -- (Love et al. 2002:146 [ref. 26216] as litoris). Current status: Synonym of Sebastes caurinus Richardson 1844. Scorpaenidae: Sebastinae. Habitat: marine.
