Holotype (unique): whereabouts unknown. Apparently predates Sebastes fasciatus Storer 1854 (19 Dec.). •Synonym of Sebastes nebulosus Ayres 1854 -- (Love et al. 2002:219 [ref. 26216]). 1°Homonym. Apparently an unneeded replacement name for Sebastes fasciatus Girard 1854, stated to be preoccupied by Sebastes fasciatus Storer 1856, but date for Storer needs confirmation. •Synonym of Sebastes nebulosus Ayres 1854 -- (Love et al. 2002:219 [ref. 26216]).
