Paratypes: (3) SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 732 (2). •Valid as Amblygobius tekomaji (Smith 1959) -- (Heemstra et al. 2004:3328 [ref. 27945], Fricke et al. 2018:324 [ref. 35805], Larson 2022:43 [ref. 39971], Parenti 2021:91 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Amblygobius tekomaji (Smith 1959). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: East Africa (Mozambique) east to Seychelles, Madagascar, Mascarenes (Rodrigues) and Chagos Archipelago (British Indian Ocean Territory). Habitat: marine.
