[Scarus] dentibus Sidjan. Available by indication (ICZN Art. 12.2.2) from p. x, with diagnosis from p. 25 and 44 (see Fricke 2008:54 [ref. 30182]). Lectotype: ZMUC P6689 (dry skin). Paralectotypes: ZMUC P6690 (1, dry skin). Originally as Sc. [Scarus] dentibus Sidjan, meaning ‘teeth of Scarus sidjan’. Lectotype selected by Klausewitz & Nielsen 1965:13 [ref. 20847]; lectotype figured in Klausewitz & Nielsen 1965: Pl. 2 [ref. 20847]. Unused synonym of Siganus rivulatus Forsskål & & Niebuhr 1775; Fricke 2008:54 [ref. 30182] acted as the first reviser to select Scarus rivulatus as the senior synonym.
