Former Red Sea records are now assigned to Soleichthys dori Randall & Munroe, 2008 Habitat: marine.

Current status: Synonym of Soleichthys heterorhinos (Bleeker 1856). Soleidae. Habitat: marine.

Current status: Valid as Soleichthys nigrostriolatus (Steindachner & Kner 1870). Soleidae. Distribution: Fiji Islands. Habitat: marine.
