Originally as sanctae-helenae, correction mandatory. •Synonym of Pomacentrus leucostictus Müller & Troschel 1848 -- (Lloris & Rucabado 1990:849 [ref. 15959]). •Valid as Stegastes sanctaehelenae (Sauvage 1879) -- (Edwards & Glass 1987:650 [ref. 9166], Allen 1991:254 [ref. 19344], Edwards in Carpenter & De Angelis 2016:2731 [ref. 34618], Brown et al. 2019:164 [ref. 36444], Parenti 2021:85 [ref. 38418]). Current status: Valid as Stegastes sanctaehelenae (Sauvage 1879). Pomacentridae: Microspathodontinae. Distribution: Southern-central Atlantic: Saint Helena (UK) endemic. Habitat: marine.
