Current status: Synonym of Steindachnerina dobula (Günther 1868). Curimatidae. Habitat: freshwater.

nasus, Curimatus Steindachner [F.] 1882:142 [Anzeiger der Kaiserlichen Akademie der Wissenschaften, Wien, Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliche Classe v. 19 (no. 16) (for 22 June 1882); ref. 20485] Canelos, eastern Ecuador. Lectotype: NMW 68900.1. Paralectotypes: NMW 68899 (2), 68900:2-3 (2). Species later illustrated and described in more detail in Steindachner 1882:80 [p. 20 in separate], Pl. 5 (fig. 2) [ref. 4233]. Holotype (unique): ANSP 39104. Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:148 [ref. 13621]. •Placed in genus Steindachnerina -- (Vari & Castro 1988 [ref. 12872]). •Synonym of Steindachnerina dobula (Günther 1868) -- (Vari 1991:66 [ref. 19019] but type locality probably in error, Vari in Reis et al. 2003:60 [ref. 27061]). Current status: Synonym of Steindachnerina dobula (Günther 1868). Curimatidae. Habitat: freshwater.
