Paratypes: LIAIP 1971268 (2), 1972382 (2); NSMT-P 23912 (1); USNM 272584 (1). •Valid as Stenogobius mekongensis Watson 1991 -- (Kottelat 2013:429 [ref. 32989], Taki et al. 2021:470 [ref. 39830], Endruweit 2024:88 [ref. 41040]). Current status: Valid as Stenogobius mekongensis Watson 1991. Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: lower Mekong River basin, southern Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
