Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:82 [ref. 12367]. •Synonym of Stizostedion vitreum (Mitchill 1818) -- (Collette & Bănărescu 1977:1458 [ref. 5845]). •Synonym of Stizostedion vitreum (Mitchill 1818), but a valid subspecies -- (Lee et al. 1980:747 [ref. 22416], Smith 1986:349 [ref. 22186], Robison & Buchanan 1988:464 [ref. 23393], McAllister 1990:144 [ref. 14674], Scharpf 2008:41 [ref. 30399]). Current status: Synonym of Sander vitreus (Mitchill 1818). Percidae: Luciopercinae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
