Not treated in Kullander & Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:39 [ref. 27061]. •Synonym of Anchovia macrolepidota (Kner 1861) -- (Whitehead et al. 1988:379 [ref. 5725]). Current status: Synonym of Anchovia macrolepidota (Kner 1863). Engraulidae: Engraulinae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
