Kottelat (2013) cites as inland record from Myanmar. •Valid as Synaptura albomaculata Kaup 1858 -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:1048 [ref. 20764], Munroe 2001:3881 [ref. 26314] with question, Manilo & Bogorodsky 2003:S122 [ref. 27377]). •Valid as Dagetichthys albomaculatus (Kaup 1858) -- (Vachon et al. 2008:406 [ref. 32765] as albomaculata, Kottelat 2013:465 [ref. 32989], Zajonz et al. 2019:101 [ref. 36871], Psomadakis et al. 2020:596 [ref. 37272], Desoutter-Meniger & Chapleau 2022:395 [ref. 40245]). Current status: Valid as Dagetichthys albomaculatus (Kaup 1858). Soleidae. Distribution: Northern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: ?Gulf of Oman and India east to Malaysia and Indonesia. Habitat: brackish, marine.
