Locality not Manila Bay, Philippines, but Atlantic Ocean (see Herald in Schultz et al. 1953:232 [ref. 3975]). •Synonym of Syngnathus peckianus Storer 1839 (or S. fuscus Storer) -- (Herald in Schultz et al. 1953:232 [ref. 3975] as marteni). •Synonym of Syngnathus fuscus Storer 1839 -- (Dawson 1982:78 [ref. 6764]). Current status: Synonym of Syngnathus fuscus Storer 1839. Syngnathidae: Syngnathinae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
