Paratypes: LACM 10002 (1), 10034 (1). •Valid as Binghamichthys aphos Bussing 1965 -- (Pequeño 1989:33 [ref. 14125]). •Valid as Talismania aphos (Bussing 1965) to agree with Binghamichthys as a synonym of Talismania. Current status: Valid as Talismania aphos (Bussing 1965). Alepocephalidae. Distribution: Chile. Habitat: marine.
