Paratypes: USNM 215561 (1). •Valid as Talismania oregoni Parr 1952 -- (Shimizu in Uyeno et al. 1983:126 [ref. 14275]). •Synonym of Talismania homoptera (Vaillant 1888) -- (Markle & Quéro in Whitehead et al. 1984:251 [ref. 13675], Markle & Sazonov 1990:263 [ref. 14215]). Current status: Synonym of Talismania homoptera (Vaillant 1888). Alepocephalidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
