Current status: Valid as Tetractenos glaber (Fréminville 1813). Tetraodontidae. Distribution: Southeastern Australia: New South Wales to South Australia. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.

Syntypes: (6) BMNH 1864.7.22.63, 1868.8.13.16, 1872.7.1.15, 1896.6.17.87 (cleared and stained), 1896.6.17.88, 1899.2.14.57. •Synonym of Tetractenos glaber (Fréminville 1813) -- (Hardy 1983:9 [ref. 5341], Gomon et al. 1994:911 [ref. 22532], Ebert 2001:92 [ref. 25494], Hoese et al. 2006:1925 [ref. 29099]). Current status: Synonym of Tetractenos glaber (Fréminville 1813). Tetraodontidae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
