Holotype: USNM 108140. Paratypes: Int. Fish. Comm. coll. (3). •Young of Thaleichthys pacificus (Richardson 1836) and in family Osmeridae -- (Hubbs & Chapman 1951:296 [ref. 10854]). •Synonym of Thaleichthys pacificus (Richardson 1836) -- (McAllister 1963:23 [ref. 8075], Scott & Crossman 1998:324 [ref. 24570], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:175 [ref. 25968]). Current status: Synonym of Thaleichthys pacificus (Richardson 1836). Osmeridae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.

stevensi, Thaleichthys Girard [C. F.] 1858:325, Pl. 75 (figs. 1-4) [General report upon zoology of the several Pacific railroad routes, 1857; ref. 4911] Puget Sound, Washington, U.S.A. Holotype: USNM 605. Figures are under the name of Osmerus stevensi. Accompanying Pl. 75 appeared in Suckley 1860 [ref. 18856]. •Synonym of Thaleichthys pacificus (Richardson 1836) -- (McAllister 1963:23 [ref. 8075], Scott & Crossman 1998:324 [ref. 24570]).
