Paratypes: BMNH 1965.7.12.226-230 (5), 1967.3.4.56 (1), 1978.8.18[or 16].162-163 (2). •Valid as Thryssa stenosoma Wongratana 1983 -- (Whitehead et al. 1988:444 [ref. 5725], Talwar & Jhingran 1991:147 [ref. 20764], Psomadakis et al. 2020:301 [ref. 37272]). Current status: Valid as Thryssa stenosoma Wongratana 1983. Engraulidae: Coiliinae. Distribution: Northeastern Indian Ocean: eastern India to Myanmar. Habitat: brackish, marine.
