Trichopsis Canestrini [G.] 1860:708 [Verhandlungen der K.-K. zoologisch-botanischen Gesellschaft in Wien; ref. 713] Fem. Trichopus striatus Bleeker 1850. Type by monotypy. Current status: Valid as Trichopsis Canestrini 1860. Osphronemidae: Macropodusinae.
