Type catalog: Bertin & Estève 1948:98-99 [ref. 19574]. •Valid as Noemacheilus hutjertjuensis (Rendahl 1933) -- (Tilak 1990:144 [ref. 23720] as hutjertjuonsis). •Synonym of Triplophysa orientalis (Herzenstein 1888) -- (Prokofiev 2016:206 [ref. 34459] but a valid subspecies as described, Wang et al. 2024:11 [ref. 40861]). •Valid as Triplophysa hutjertjuensis (Rendahl 1933) -- (Zhu 1989:81 [ref. 17744], Wu & Wu 1992:171 [ref. 21205], Zhu 1995:114 [ref. 25213], Prokofiev 2002:S47 [ref. 27462], Kottelat 2012:127 [ref. 32367], Zhang et al. 2016:138 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa hutjertjuensis (Rendahl 1933). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Central Asia: Inner Mongolia and China. Habitat: freshwater.

Chwan-che, upper reaches of the Huang He (Hwang-ho) River, Gomi Province, China. Holotype: ZIN 7232. Paratypes: ZIN. Plus additional non-type material. •Synonym of Triplophysa orientalis (Herzenstein 1888), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Wang et al. 2024:11 [ref. 40861]). •Not treated in Zhang et al. 2016:142 [ref. 34477]. Current status: Synonym of Triplophysa orientalis (Herzenstein 1888). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: East Asia: Huang He (Hwang-ho) River drainage, China [this subspecies]. Habitat: freshwater.
