No types known. Objectively invalid; preoccupied in same article by Chalcinus rotundatus iquitensis Nakashima 1941:65 [ref. 13189]; first reviser apparently Malabarba 2004:186 [ref. 28150] selecting C. e. iquitensis. •Synonym of Triportheus elongatus (Günther 1864) -- (Malabarba & Lima in Reis et al. 2003:157-158 [ref. 27061]). •Synonym of Triportheus culter (Cope 1872) -- (Malabarba 2004:186 [ref. 28150], Malabarba 2024:436 [ref. 40817]). 1°Homonym. No types known. Appeared as above in main heading (apparently in error) and as Chalcinus rotundatus iquitensis in caption to figure; intention of author unclear. As a subspecies, the name is in competition with Chalcinus elongatus iquitensis in the same work. •Synonym of Triportheus rotundatus (Jardine 1841) -- (Malabarba & Lima in Reis et al. 2003:158 [ref. 27061]). •Synonym of Triportheus albus Cope 1872 -- (Malabarba 2024:435 [ref. 40817]). 1°Homonym.
