IU catalogue entry for 13438 is a-c (3 specimens), with "a" the "type" (holotype), but that specimen is 183 mm TL and cannot be the type; recataloged as CAS 62853. Original spelling of the species was tumacoënsis. •Synonym of Umbrina analis Günther 1868 -- (Walker & Radford 1992:581 [ref. 20257], Chao in Fischer et al. 1995:1512 [ref. 22830], Parenti 2020:54 [ref. 37439]).
