Also appeared in Lockington 1881:237 [ref. 17556] as Catostomus cypho. •Synonym of Catostomus texanus Abbott 1860 -- (Chen & Mayden 2012:195 [ref. 32391]). •Synonym of Xyrauchen texanus (Abbott 1860) -- (La Rivers 1994:357 [ref. 23389], Gilbert 1998:179 [ref. 23395], Minckley & Marsh 2009:210 [ref. 31114]). Current status: Synonym of Xyrauchen texanus (Abbott 1860). Catostomidae: Catostominae. Habitat: freshwater.
