Type Locality: Mont Tsaratanana, 2500 m, October 1949 (R.P).

Geographical Distribution: Mont Tsaratanana and Fianarantsoa: Ranomafana National Park.

Notes: The original description includes many illustrations, of the larva, pupa and adult. The male appears to have rather elongate ectoprocts. In addition to the types, I have seen three specimens in the USNM collection from Ranomafana National Park.
