Current status: Valid as Cirripectes alboapicalis (Ogilby 1899). Blenniidae: Salariinae. Distribution: South Pacific: Queensland (Australia), Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island and Kermadec Islands east to Easter Island. May be a complex of cryptic species, in that case resgtricted to the western populations [ref. 36397]. Habitat: marine.
