Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), East Africa, Seychelles, Aldabra (Seychelles), Comoros and western Mascarenes (La Réunion, Mauritius) east to Hawaiian Islands (U.S.A.), Marquesas Islands (French Polynesia) and Pitcairn Group, north to Taiwan, south to southern Great Barrier Reef (Queensland, Australia).
