Paratypes: (32) USNM 323542 (8 or 7), 329439 (1). Type catalog: Anderson 2018:19 [ref. 36146]. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Seychelles, Aldabra (Seychelles), Saint Brandons Shoals (Cargados Carajos), Agalega Islands (Mauritius), western Mascarenes (La Pérouse Seamount and La Réunion) and Chagos Archipelago east to Philippines and Papua New Guinea, north to Japan, south to northern Australia and Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
