Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: East Africa, Seychelles, Mauritius (Mascarenes) and Persian Gulf east to Philippines and New Guinea, north to South China Sea, south to northern Australia. Distribution west of the Indo-Malay Peninsula needs validating [ref. 31843] and [ref. 33352]. Habitat: marine.
