Lectotype: SMF 1898. Rüppell specimens: BMNH 1860.11.9.153-156 (4), SMF 6856-60 (5). Type information: Kimura et al. 2007:149.5 [ref. 29157]. Originally forskålii. Lectotype not established by Dor 1984:67 [ref. 29757]. Lectotype selected by Smith 1965:617.
