Distribution: Indo-Pacific: East Africa, Mozambique Channel, Seychelles and western Mascarenes (La RĂ©union) east to Hawaiian Islands (U.S.A.), north to southern Sea of Japan (Korea, Japan) and Pacific coast of Kagoshima Prefecture (southern Japan), south to New Caledonia and Lord Howe Island (Australia); eastern Pacific: southern tip of Baja California Sur (Mexico) and Revillagigedo Islands (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
