Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Indonesia east to Philippines, north to southern Sea of Japan and Kagoshima Prefecture (Pacific coast of Japan), south to Geographe Bay (Western Australia), New South Wales (Australia), northern New Zealand and Kermadec Islands. Habitat: marine.
