Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Christmas Island (Australia), Cocos-Keeling Islands (Australia) and Indonesia east to Society Islands (French Polynesia), north to southern Japan, south to Queensland (Australia) and New Caledonia. Habitat: marine.
