duboulayi, Holacanthus Günther [A.] 1867:67 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 3) v. 20 (no. 115); ref. 1988] Northwestern coast of Australia. Holotype (unique): BMNH 1867.2.23.17 (skin). Ogilby 1915 [ref. 18486], p. 112 proposes that spelling should be H. dubouleyi, and that Günther made an error in transcribing the name. •Valid as Chaetodontoplus duboulayi (Günther 1867) -- (Allen 1980:250 [ref. 22764], Allen & Swainston 1988:100 [ref. 25477], Randall et al. 1990:241 [ref. 15987], Allen 1997:156 [ref. 23977], Larson & Williams 1997:363 [ref. 23967], Kuiter 1997:228 [ref. 25488], Randall et al. 1997:241 [ref. 25919], Johnson 1999:740 [ref. 25471], Pyle in Randall & Lim 2000:624 [ref. 25122], Hutchins 2001:265 [ref. 25841], Hutchins 2001:36 [ref. 25847], Pyle 2001:3280 [ref. 26118], Allen et al. 2006:1306 [ref. 29090], Allen & Erdmann 2012:552 [ref. 31980], Larson et al. 2013:157 [ref. 32988]). Current status: Valid as Chaetodontoplus duboulayi (Günther 1867). Pomacanthidae. Distribution: Western Pacific and southeastern Indian Ocean: Aru Islands (Indonesia), southern Papua New Guinea and Western Australia to Queensland (Australia). Habitat: marine.
