Neotype: ZMB 33306. Possible syntypes: ZMB 3505 (6), 31499 (2). Neotype [perhaps it should have been a lectotype] selected by Román-Valencia et al. 2003:61, 68 [ref. 27035]. Authorship also seen as Humboldt & Valenciennes. •Valid as Grundulus bogotensis (Humboldt 1821) -- (Malabarba 1998:228 [ref. 23844], Nico 2001:143 [ref. 25828], Román-Valencia et al. 2003:60 [ref. 27035], Malabarba in Reis et al. 2003:128 [ref. 27061], Román-Valencia et al. 2005:543 [ref. 28433], Román-Valencia et al. 2010:107 [ref. 30946], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:53 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Grundulus bogotensis (Humboldt 1821). Characidae: Stethaprioninae. Distribution: South America: Magdalena River basin, Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
