Holotype (unique): BPBM 3419. •Synonym of Rhabdoblennius ellipes (Jordan & Starks 1906) -- (Randall et al. 1990:386 [ref. 15987] with question, Myers 1999:228 [ref. 23965]). •Valid as Rhabdoblennius rhabdotrachelus (Fowler & Ball 1924) -- (Springer 2001:3546 [ref. 26290], Bath 2004:18 [ref. 28017], Hoese & Bray 2006:1563 [ref. 29000], Patzner et al. 2009:460 [ref. 30396], Delrieu-Trottin et al. 2015:7 [ref. 33988]). Current status: Valid as Rhabdoblennius rhabdotrachelus (Fowler & Ball 1924). Blenniidae: Salariinae. Distribution: Western and central Pacific: Mariana Islands east to Wake Island, Jarvis Island; Phoenix Islands (Kiribati) and northern Cook Islands to Marquesas Islands, Henderson and Ducie (Pitcairn Group). Habitat: marine.
